I have read this. I think that Nagata is one improbably lucky recurring main character away from Clancy-like levels of success. Perhaps her writing is too thoughtful for the market.

I enjoyed this, but not quite as much as The Red series, which is excellent. The Last Good Man felt a little bit like Nagata wanted to fill in the tech advances, and didn't have quite as much focus on the characters. She's still on my buy-on-preorder list though. (After The Red series I bought everything on her back catalog and enjoyed it all.)
