Now I get to push someone in front of a car to maintain balance

Walked someone from the 1 & 23 stop at Ottawa and River to the Stanley Park 1 stop because she needed to go downtown, didn't know the routes in that area (1, 17 and 23) well enough to be at the best stop. She'd watched a few buses go by on the other side, some of which would have done had she but known.

I was actually about 99% sure the 1 & 23 stop she was at would see a 1 come along in ten minutes but the one I took her to was a sure bet and she'd been there a while. Walking her there made sure she ended up at the 1 stop and not the 17 next to it. I don't know where the 17 goes but I do know it's not downtown.

I really can't get enough of this kind of thing

pnh's comment on tor.com that it's a one-day-shifted Worldcon -- Wednesday through Sunday rather than Thursday through Monday, led me to check something I had not checked because, ha ha, I thought I knew something and didn't:
