Date: 2015-11-02 02:31 am (UTC)With a knife, spread a thin layer of peanut butter on one side each of two slices of bread. With a spoon, add a goodly dollop of jam ("jelly" is acceptable in the U.S., with grape being admirable) to one slice. Spread this with the knife. Lick knife clean. Place the two added-ingredients sides together and do with the sandiwch whatever is fated to be done with it. (Best eaten immediately, IMHO, but still perfectly fine for lunch four+ hours later if properly wrapped.)
Personally, I have a slight preference for peanutbutter, a little butter, and honey, (mixed in a small container in advance) but a good PB&J is fine about twice per year.
