I don't understand pretty much any of what the guy is talking about in the paper they're referencing, but I get the impression that the more correct headline would be something like 'How building a model of a warp drive using metamaterials (where the metamaterials are what the simulated warp bubble travels through at a quarter C as opposed to the 1 C actual light travels through them) should be theoretically possible'.
So I'm guess James is not advocating the breathless blog headline.
Like I said tho', I wouldn't trust me on that, I really don't know what I'm talking about here :)
