The relentless advance of D&D characters

I've decided that Rose's fight archetype is Battle Master, because it will let her look AWESOME in combat, and also the artificer proficiency will let her be useful backstage.

The specific maneuvers I picked for her are, sadly, pretty utilitarian but in my brain I imagine they're all derived from stage fighting moves.

Parry: When another creature damages you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction and expend one superiority die to reduce the damage by the number you roll on your superiority die + your Dexterity modifier.

Precision Attack. When you make a weapon attack roll against a creature, you can expend one superiority die to add it to the roll. You can use this maneuver before or after making the attack roll, but before any effects of the attack are applied.

RĂposte: When a creature misses you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction and expend one superiority die to make a melee weapon attack against the creature, if you hit, you add the superiority die to the attack's damage roll.

3rd level Battle Masters get 4 d8s as superiority dice.

I think the rogue is going Inquisitive. The Bard is most assuredly not the College of Whispers and if you can spare a moment, she can explain to you why your enemies want to think she is.

I will be sorely disappointed if at some time when Rose is facing an adversary, she doesn't go into the, "Ho! Ha ha! Guard! Turn! Parry! Dodge! Spin! Ha! Thrust!" routine and get her ass handed to her.

Rose, to date, has seemed much more capable than Daffy Duck. Which is great for all of us, really.

Hilarities: my gaming group just went to a low-level module sequence and I just realized we are running the same sequence that you are.
