Man, that's some bad design work on the first cover. It took me a minute to figure out the "of" was an actual word and not some weird design painted on the wall.
Me too! I think the problem is that "of" is in a color quite similar to the wall on the bottom half of the cover, so it looked like architectural detailing. I spent ten seconds trying to parse "Heiresses Russ" into English ("Maybe it's a book about a group of women all with the last name 'Russ' who come into money?")
I have a couple of these. Haven't found the time to read yet. I look forward to your reviews. You impact my husband's reading heavily. He does need to start checking to see if we already own the ebook before taking books out of the library after reading your reviews. Mentioning to me what he's reading so we can read at the same time rather than months or years apart would be nice also.
