Parts of it happened! Toronto has a very interesting history and I would make more fun of them for it if at the same time Kitchener wasn't having stuff like Nazi rallies and military bulling of the local civilians.

That's the essential piece of a good hoax, isn't it? A couple touches of honest remarkable truth imbue the whole thing with credibility.
