First line "organs" should be "origins", and I think you have some links that need to be actual links?

Interesting review. I've been reading A Girl and Her Fed for years, so the external perspective is refreshing.

Almost all of your links are placeholders.

"Iliad" has only one L in it.

The plural of "focus" is "foci". "Focii" would be the plural of "focius".

(I have a long list of words that I've seen with this "-ii" plural; this is a new one among the likes of "cactii", "penii", and "fetii".

Someone on rasfw once speculated that the plural of "omnibus" would be "omnibi". I said to him:
I'm afraid your incorrect Latin is incorrect. It's well-established usage that all Latin words wrongly pluralize in '-ii'. So therefore 'omnibii'.
This made Brian M. Scott go "splork".)

What is this that roareth thus?
Can it be a Motor Bus?
Yes, the smell and hideous hum
Indicat Motorem Bum!
Implet in the Corn and High
Terror me Motoris Bi:
Bo Motori clamitabo
Ne Motore caedar a Bo---
Dative be or Ablative
So thou only let us live:---
Whither shall thy victims flee?
Spare us, spare us, Motor Be!
Thus I sang; and still anigh
Came in hordes Motores Bi,
Et complebat omne forum
Copia Motorum Borum.
How shall wretches live like us
Cincti Bis Motoribus?
Domine, defende nos
Contra hos Motores Bos!

How tween friendly is the series?

My daughter is a Percy Jackson nut. I'm trying to figure out what to get her next.

[identity profile] james-nicoll.livejournal.com 2015-11-01 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure. I have a very shaky grasp on what other people consider tween suitable.

[identity profile] kithrup.livejournal.com 2015-11-01 07:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Depends on the tween, I think. There's foul language, violence, and more than a few allusions to sex. (The comic is far more outre in the language and sex aspects, but the violence is more graphic in the text versions.) Also some references to rape in historical flashbacks.
