Also a treasure trove of old Andre Norton novels...

The fact that the names are almost but not quite alphabetical vexes me so.

...Back when Cynthia Felice was a selling point, and not the anchor weighing down the Felice/Willis tandem.

(Also, Eye of the Heron's pretty good.)

There's a whole novel in there?? How long is the book?

[identity profile] james-nicoll.livejournal.com 2014-10-22 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
I was going to check isfdb but then I realized I can just look at the book.

305 pages. Eye of the Heron is 179 pages.

We've all been doing this too long.

It's so easy to use certain forms of online information that it becomes automatic. I don't need Weather Underground for current local conditions when I can walk ten feet, open the sliding glass door, and go out onto the porch--but I use it anyway.

You could use a Weather Rock.

I'm worse than that -- I'll go to a website to get the current readings from a weather station I can see from my kitchen window.

Popped over to Amazon to order a copy, found they had used hardback as well as softcover, then realized while I didn't recognize the pb cover, I HAVE seen that cover on the hb around here somewhere - out in the garage I think. Hopefully on one of the bookshelves because now I want to read it, or re-read it as the case may be.

Neat! I was only familiar with Kidd as an agent, hadn't known that she did editing, too.
