Didn't she and Junior hook up? And does her reappearance mean that we're going to be treated to the return of B.O. Plenty and Gravel Gertie?

(Who's still carrying Dick Tracy, anyway? That strip disappeared out of the NY Daily News years ago, and I thought it was extinct.)

Moon Maid was killed in the 1970s. Junior's married to Sparkle Plenty, I think. Junior and Maid had a *daughter*, though.

Hot damn! These new guys are the Grant Morrisons of legacy strips. Although the people doing Lil' Orphan Annie had their moments before it ended, as did Mary Schmich on occasion (especially the sequence where an illiterate escaped prisoner landed a gig as the paper's pop culture columnist).

I miss the crazy angles and nonsensical plots of the old Dick Tracy. There, I said it. Wish there was a universe where the old Dick Tracy strips were still going alongside the new ones.
