Three books new to me, all fantasy (Although the Stross is an edge case), and only one is clearly part of a series.

I read it as two-thirds are clearly part of a series, though both claim to end that series.

It seems that you need more nerds and less politics in order to defeat Cats.

New to me this week is the graphic novel interpretation of Le Guin’s A Wizard of Earthsea.
So far, it’s great, but I’m finding the artwork is occasionally literally too dark.

Also new to me is Waffles, a young cat we’re fostering, much to the displeasure of our grumpy old guy ( who adores kittens ).

I wish to tentatively recommend the manga Kowloon Generic Romance. Tentatively because the anime adaptation I watched was massively compressed.
