Magic aside [1], "Cascade" looks way too much like the future I'm going to live in to make me feel better about my own life, save in the "well, at least I'm probably dead before things go fully Mad Max" sense.

Saw a monarch butterfly today. My first one since they were put on the endangered species list. I was surprised at how moved I was.
