Don't think so. Luc Dionne had aleady dipped into the well back in the 1990s with Omertà , la loi du silence, a series about the mob in Montreal, so switching to the biker gangs was no great jump.
Saw the first, pretty good. Not as much Soprano's North as one might think. Didn't see the second, so no opinion. Basically the same cast, though, so it should have been acceptable.
