I mean, the first posleen book was pretty obviously nazi-coded - at least for anyone who’d read The Iron Dream.

Come to think of it, I wonder if The Iron Dream is on the KKK reading list? They don’t strike me as people who’d be good at spotting irony

It doesn't help that the framing story of Spinrad's book has the USSR taking over the world because there was no Nazi Germany to oppose it.

And then there's the fact that the Holocaust has supposed happened, but was carried out by the Soviets. (Doctor's plot nowithstanding, it seems a wee bit contrived.)

I hate to admit it, but I actually enjoyed this one. Not for its politics (which I hardly noticed) but for a pretty good and funny story.

Ah, well. I wasn't planning on reading the sequels anyway...

The enjoyment one gets from a Ringo novel (or desire to read further) is directly proportional to how forcefully inserted the Author Filibuster is.

... Edit: searching for the phrase had one hit "CW: genocide". CW here = "Content Warning"? If so, my apologies for not realizing.
