DQ starting characters could be next to destitute, and I had one character who began play with a sword and a loincloth. And I think he had to steal the loincloth.
It's nice to see that two of the female characters on the cover are completely clothed, with boots that appear to have flat soles.
The only other places I recall seeing costumes like that were The Tick, in the episode where they have a hero-foreign-exchange program and he meets European superheroes, and in the Black Lightning TV show, where Thunder's costume is very similar to her father's, and clearly designed for armor rather than sexiness.
The Deluxe Hero's Handbook has one picture with a woman contorted into a boobs-n-butt pose, and I remember a couple of other questionable poses in some of their PDFs, but for the most part Green Ronin has been pretty good about their art.

"How could anyone possibly be so forgetful?", asks the person who once forgot to purchase any weapon for their fighter.
