Indeed.

to readers of a certain age and background, the green-white-green cover is extremely evocative.

And the penguin. My mum's library was filled with these, and seeing the covers evokes a particularly bittersweet nostalgia in me.

I think it's more a matter of procedure; if you can keep it together enough to write a coherent review, your memory's fine. You just need to flip out of writing mode into publishing mode when you've finished writing.
