I think it's more a matter of procedure; if you can keep it together enough to write a coherent review, your memory's fine. You just need to flip out of writing mode into publishing mode when you've finished writing.

I grew up in her village, I didn't know this existed until reading a bio of her very recently, even when writing stuff up for tourist info packs some of her work slipped by.
Just to go against the trend, this wasn't my first Christie. It was, however, my favorite. Young me was fascinated by myths and loved, loved, loved the setting.
This reminds me that a friend had offered a bag of Agatha Christie novels she had found at the town dump in Flin Flon (nicely wrapped in plastic and set on a curb away from the real trash) and I forgot to take them with me when I left.
I will have to check with her (or her husband to see if they are still available) but I suspect they have gone back to the family cottage near Flin Flon for the rest of the summer.

And the penguin. My mum's library was filled with these, and seeing the covers evokes a particularly bittersweet nostalgia in me.
