Especially if one forgets the part where you transfer the clean wet clothes to the dryer before turning it on.

I haven't done that, but I have opened the dryer hoping to find dry underwear and finding wet underwear because I've forgotten to turn the dryer on.

I do a similar thing all the time with the oven, except generally with, say, potatoes in place of underwear.

The nice thing about drying underwear vs cooking potatoes is that I've never had my underwear explode.

That sounds like a challenge.
