Well, ending up in an abusive marriage isn't quite as bad as being beaten to death by the Joker, I guess. So there's that for Miss Havisham.

I think so. I've done some character building (background to my stories so far) that includes the detail that being named after Estella might incline one to be wary of certain kinds of power relationships, and superheroes in general.
