Sounds like an interesting book. And we have a rare example of a really enthusiastic Nicoll review, to give context to all the 'praising with faint damns' ones.
I've been leery of this book, despite having very much enjoyed The Summer Prince, because it has not been well-reviewed elsewhere. You've convinced me to give it a shot.
