Why I am not doing a zompocalypse series of posts for Zombie Apocalypse 2012
Given the death rate in Canada and the population in Canada and assuming it takes about three days to go from death to burial (or at least embalming, which has got to mess up any non-demonic form of the zfication), there are probably about twelve dead people in Kitchener not yet in the ground. Anyone here think twelve unarmed shamblers are going to find it easy to overwhelm 200,000 people?
I expect the ones in Grand River and St. Mary's are not stored in an easy to get out and start roaming place. Ditto for the ones in the funeral homes.
(Yeah, I know about that computer model that suggests zombies would spread like the plague. I don't believe its assumptions. I think zombies would be doing well to get out of the locked rooms they would in. Yes, I understand the inherent absurdity of treating a fantasy seriously)
I will admit Oktoberfest is a nearly ideal time for a stumbling zombie to pass unnoticed in the crowds, at least until they start biting people, and maybe even then.
