My stupid mind works stupidly

Recently every time I see Carrie Vaughn's name, I start humming Polly Von.

Unfortunately I went looking for a youtube clip. Could not find one of Peter, Paul and Mary singing it but I did find one for Chris de Burgh; the person who created it made a creative decision I myself would not have made:

Haven't watched the video but have to comment on the tag. Most people hunt at twilight because many species are crepsecular and are most active and therefore easiest to hunt then. The most notable example of this is the white tail deer.

Well, that's just creepy.

I didn't think it was possible to make Chris De Burgh more creepy.

Huh. Zombie robot Chris De Burgh?

Can't sleep, Chris de Burgh will eat me.

Also known as "Molly Bond". That version of the song has the girl's ghost showing up to tell the judge at the trial that it's totally okay that her idiot boyfriend has mistaken her for a swan and killed her because he's really really really sorry.

Wow. WOW.

My favourite rendition of the song is done by The Dillards. I haven't heard the de Burgh version, and based on the comments here, I'd rather not have him ruing The Dillards for me, so I'm not looking. Nope. Not looking.

Well, you cannot go wrong with banjo music.

AAAAUUUUUUUGGGHHHHH. I just deleted two comments trying to reveal them. Sorry, anonymous poster; my coffee is broken.

To resurrect them, one mentioned that many performances can be found under the song title Molly Bawn, giving The Dubliners (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfQA9sFCVYY) as an example, and the other was a pointer to a Peter, Paul and Mary (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTMvWcCA-4c) rendition.

I find it unutterably sad, somehow, that at the 2009 Yorba Linda Celebration of the Arts there was a cover band called Where's Mary. Who did very good covers, mind you... Transhumanism needs to work FASTER and make the remaining people IMMORTAL already, that's all there is to it.

If you close your eyes that version isn't so bad...
