My bad for not noticing the appendix change of spec.

It would be a interesting addtion to the Nicoll event list for him to use stale rocket fuel.

The suffix letter "D" or "E" is a specifier for the revision of the spec.

The 1967 spec was MIL-P-25576C
The 2005 spec was MIL-DTL-25576D
The 2006 spec was MIL-DTL-25576E

found a revised one for end of that year. Per drum increased by 30%, but the bulk price stayed at $10.

So... 1 kilogram of RP-1 (density of 0.8 g/ml) and bought at bulk for $10/gallon was $3.30 USD in 2009.
