Torchwood: Children of Earth

[Poll #1430144]

For the record, I have not seen it because I pretty much hate almost all the characters on Torchwood and I think the writers need remedial writing classes (I suspect the two are related).

I haven't seen any "Torchwood" yet and am not interested enough to complain about it or praise it (but thanks, fans, I know all about CoE now, which means I don't have to watch it). For some reason, I'm even less interested in watching it than I am in watching modern "Doctor Who," which is saying something.

Yeah, this is where I am (although without spoilers). Never seen it, haven't felt like I was missing anything, but really don't care one way or another.

After the whole Firefly experience*, I'm not likely to bother ever watching it.

Just not a tv person.

*Had friends proselytize to me about it for YEARS, finally broke down and watched it last year sometime - and was like, "Meh". I don't see people being quite as fanatical about Torchwood as they were about firefly, so I can only imagine my response as being an even more anemic "meh".

I had all these Firefly proponents at me, so I watched "Serenity". Now there's no way I'm watching Firefly. Gawd, that was a bad movie!

I would describe myself guardedly as a fan of Torchwood, fan in that I leave it for the Tivo to record and get to pretty swiftly, and could probably summarize a respectable fraction of the episodes if asked to. But it's guarded in that there are only a few fleeting moments in which I admire the characters [1] and none in which I think the organization as it is shown to exist is anything but a deeply psychotic, horribly sick pathology that needs to be eliminated before they irreparably break the world again.

[1] For example, the one where the Dead Guy Who Won't Fall Down talks with the woman trying to kill herself.
