Is this a known F.E.A.R bug?

I've been playing F.E.A.R. [1] and every once in a while I run into what I think of as "the mysterious hail of bullets". There is no apparent source for the bullets, the hail occurs in places where normally none of the people on the other side can shoot at the protagonist and it doesn't reappear on later plays through that section. Has this happened to anyone else?

There's one scene where I really wonder just how many game designers saw Akira way beck when. I also wonder why someone would design a game

I guess this is a spoiler

where nothing the protagonist does matters to the outcome of the game. If he stayed at home and played canasta, the creepy little girl would still eat everyone's faces.

I dunno, what else did you think would happen? "Okay, all that's left of the devil is this little crystal. Where's a good place to keep it? I know -- in my forehead." Yeah, nothing can go wrong with that plan. ^^

Thus allowing D to trade up from a body based on that of a puny prince (?) to one based on a well-tested warrior. Works great for D.

This is only spoilery if you've never played the first part of Diablo II and still plan to in the future, which probably includes about three people on the planet at this point.

Okay, so that character was screwed. But what about Tristram? The writer's not only killed almost everyone from the town, they let you take that one recurring kid's (Wirt's?) leg off his corpse and use it as a club!

I think the fans probably wanted that. Wirt was an annoying little bastard. It's not even a good weapon. But you can use it to get to the secret cow level, which is always fun.

And it allowed us to have "Wirt's Third Leg" in World of Warcraft.
