Why are they assuming that everyone who is neurodiverse wants to wear a crucifix on their wrist? Rather than (for example) a watch?

Apparently, modern people use their phone to tell time. While this thing is not a public advertisement of your personal issues - I'm interpreting it as an electronic data device that you can... scan. Whatever that means. I don't think police have tricorders yet?
