Didn't Rothman also do The World Is Round, or was that Tony Rothman or something?

I think Zindell's first book was based on his Writers of the Future award winning story, but I may be wrong. I know I had his Neverness for a long time and never got around to reading it.

Summer Tree is okay for a first novel, but it didn't make me read his other novels, which I am assured are much better. Different, anyway. Fantasy, all of them.

I can't remember why I didn't pick up the Smeds; I've read some of his shorts, and never read the novels.

I actually met Will Shetterly in the 1980s--he and Emma Bull both went to a con in Ottawa that I was at--but I have no urge to reread Cats Have No Lord.
