Cats!

I've read a couple of the GRRM tales. Is he planning to end the series or just keep it going until he dies, like RA Salvatore? And does anybody really care?

I sort-of second this. I read the first of the GRRM books and decided it wasn't for me. So was I wrong to click the first box?

He claims there will be two more books: "Winds of Winter" and "Dream of Spring", so seven in total. Also, while first two seasons of HBO series paced first and second books, book 3 ("Storm of Swords") will be split into two seasons, and books 4 and 5 ("Feast for Crows" and "Dance with Dragons") will take up three seasons. So altogether HBO series will last nine years.
