Besides, magazine and book publishing are rapidly reaching that event horizon where the only people bothering to read either are either existing writers wanting everyone else to buy their works or wannabe writers wanting to break in. What would you expect sales to do wrt time if that was the case? It seems to me that your model should predict stagnant or falling sales.
