Huzzah!

Fifth level! Which, granted for a fighter doesn't get much: +8 hit points, +1 to all proficiencies, and extra attack. The barbarian also gets extra attack, along with fast movement. No doubt there is a play balance reason why it works that way. It does mean Orilo can start combats with an attack for an average of 10 HP, a second attack for the same average, a thump with the haft of his magic Guandao for an average of 7 HP, and then an action surge for 10 more HP, a total of 37. Unless he decides to burn all of his superiority dice, in which case add 18 points.

Compared to something like Wish or other 9th level spells? I still consider that debatable, though they are still in a better position than in erd Edition.
