I googled Terbzon Catherine Tisza and got results leading me to guess is something taking place along the Black Sea? Turkish-Russian alternate history?

I suspect it's actually someone using geographical names (cf. C.S. Lewis and "Shasta," "Caspian," etc.) as names of people (unrelated to the geographic implications).

You can try asking at [community profile] findthatbook or, if you're on reddit, the What's that Book? sub.

(Actually, I'll crosspost it if you like. I'm curious!)

There seem to be characters called the Triskellions, and there was YA series using that spelling not that long ago by "Will Peterson" (which was a shared pseud, searching tells me). Could be a page from one of those, if there is a character called Catherine.

This seems to have more of a widescreen space-opera vibe to it, though, from the little I can read. Hard to tell.

Whatever it is, it's not in the Google Books corpus.

Turn it over and look for an author's name or title on the page. Many publishers provide that service at no extra charge.

It looks like a single page that he photographed lying in the street. Pity he didn't clean the detritus off of it to potentially reveal more clews.

Alas, possibly not for this page: not enough room at the top.

My google fu is failing me on what book this may have come from, but I must also note that I am now deeply curious as to why page 190 was lying around somewhere for James to photograph!

Was the book old enough or badly enough made that the page fell out while someone was reading? Or did they hate that page enough that they just ripped it out of the book? Who is Trabzon? Who is Catherine? Who are the Triskellions and the Tisza? SO MANY QUESTIONS.

Oh okay! Thank you for the clarification. :)

Questions otherwise stand!
