I prefer it when "pooped on from a great height" remains a metaphor.

You've never stood on Parade in a dockyard, have you?

Seagulls can definitely see colour; they aim at Navy blue.

Sparrow or seagull?

You get you money's worth from a seagull. Being a kid from the prairies, I was astonished by the copious volume achieved by an adult gull when I moved to Vancouver. Luckily it hit the windshield of a nearby car and, at least in my memory, covered half the windshield in avian excrement.

I got 'bombed' a couple of months ago. It was only when I got home that I discovered that what hit my shoulder was only about a third of what was deposited.

My shopping bag was partly inedible...

My (now deceased) elder brother was hit on the eye; fortunately closed, when he was sunbathing in our back garden when a teenager (before I was born).

I still remember the startled look on a school classmate's face as she realized a seagull had pooped on her...

A couple of times, crows have got me, once in a parking lot (got part of the hat I was fortunately wearing) and once when I was under a tree (got my backpack). They were surprisingly memorable little incidents.

A year or two back I was lying in a hammock under a tree, playing various bird calls from allaboutbirds.org on my phone. One male finch was very confused at what was going on, and flitted around for a bit above me, then apparently decided he had enough of it, let loose on my leg, and flew off.

"Birdie, birdie, in the sky,
Why'd you turdie in my eye?
Oh, I'll be brave and I won't cry,
But I'm sure glad that cows don't fly."

And why I run very quickly if my path takes me under a lamppost with a crow on it.
