My wife was repeatedly dive bombed by a Canada Goose on the campus of the University of Manitoba while she was bicycling to work. The goose struck her twice with it's body.

This year the university's attempts to discourage nesting were thwarted by out-raged students who didn't want to see the nests and eggs destroyed.

I am awaiting further developments as Canada Geese slowly take over the campus.

They've already taken over here (a small university across the river from St. Louis). Earlier this year, there was a note on the university list server on the subject of "Living with Geese: A Guide to Avoiding Conflicts with Nesting Geese". (It's been a problem for many years; this is the first time the university has given advice.)

That's one of the advantages of living in my part of the world. Chapters in "How to Live With Geese" would include "Preferred calibers of firearm" and "Recipes for omelettes".
