I find it more an annoyance than benefit. In the '70s my dad increased the insulation of their house (block construction) by adding foam panels to the interior, said panels had foil on one side. Instant Faraday cage. WiFi doesn't cover the entire house, and for the most part cell phones only work when standing next to certain windows.

For me, I control my phone's ability to annoy me during sleep time by having it set to Do Not Disturb mode during appropriate hours. DND turn(s/ed) off five minutes before the alarm sounds (depending on if I'm working). I had the volume on high for the alarms, and at 2am one day a spam text came in and woke me up, ruining a good night of sleep. That was my first implementation of DND. Because of my dad's health, my family knows how to dial past the DND, but I doubt they remember.
