Another eye exam

Student optometrist seemed a bit freaked out by the fact my prescription has not changed measurably in the last year. Actually, it's more like "in the last seven years"; I first got this prescription in '06.

My optometrist asserts that between forty five and sixty is when you expect to experience the greatest change in vision.

So a complete lack of change while you're in the middle of that range might well discombobulate a student.
