Hell hath no fury like a Facebook scorned. In today’s digital age, most of us assume everyone understands this fact. But everyone now and again, people surprise us. An ever-increasing element of this reality is that the hounds of Reddit, the Twitter armies, and Facebook vigilantes are more than willing to remind people that we live in a publicized world. You can’t hide behind privacy statements or legal jargon or appeals to company policy to pacify an Internet mob. Once you cross the line of Internet etiquette, the people of the World Wide Web will hunt you down and do their best to ruin you forever.

Wow. I've avoided Applebees generally, but this gives me even more reason to do so in future.

Ditto. Though I also hate eating out in general because of the underpaid staff situation. Not that my staying away helps them, but it makes me feel oookie to be waited upon and then tip as if I were some sort of rich man. I do not even qualify as middle class.

I figure that if I go into a restaurant, part of the bargain I make is with the staff, not the restaurant; I'm going to make the section of the day they spend working with me as pleasant as possible, I'm going to tip as much as possible (I try for 20 percent as a minimum; my Best Beloved once made his living as a waiter), and I remember that in doing so, I keep one table from potentially being filled by an asshole.

For some reason corporations and politicians simply do not understand the first rule of internet wank. If you post something the slightest bit controversial, someone, somewhere will preserve it.

Also, the pastor should have realized that God only gets %10 because He's not working a crappy service job for less than minimum wage.
