I know Eileen Dunlop from her A Flute in Mayferry Street, which I'm quite fond of.

Her book Elizabeth, Elizabeth is the time-slip fantasy that I imprinted on as a child and still love. I haven't read any thing else by her, and hadn't even heard of this one -- thanks!

I read that as its variant title,
Robinsheugh, as an adult, and loved it. I've reread it numerous times, but always forget how creepy it is. I also keep forgetting the title, and at least once had to post a query in a "find the book" forum to recover it -- which is very odd, because it's more often that I'm the one with the trick memory who recalls the lost books.

I'm pretty sure I also read The Maze Stone, but nothing in the review sounds familiar.

I remember getting this out from the library in the early 90s, though I remember very little about it. Not that cover; this one, I think.
