That does sound tasty.

Reading this I realized I was fuzzy on if we were talking about Somali culture in Djibouti the country or what exactly. Wikipedia tells me that people of the Somali ethnic group are concentrated in the Horn of Africa, including 85% in Somalia the country, also a 2/3 majority in Djibouti (most of the rest being Afar), and minorities in Ethiopia and Kenya.

Djiboutian food has Afar and other influences and it doesn't look like any of the Somali restaurants in the Seattle area would be a close approximation. Several of ours are Somali / Ethiopian menus, so maybe the owners are Ethiopian Somalis (or maybe they're not but it works).

#todayilearned the sambosa / sambusa / samosa is from the Middle East; India got them through Central Asia several hundred years later.

Hi Viktor--I'm not sure if there is, but Kishki does catering, so they may have a takeaway stand in the store. - jasmine
